This project explores stochastic modulation, a technique most often linked with granular synthesis and the unpredictable behavior of numerous individual grains. In this case, stochastic modulator detunes the center frequency of a feedback comb filter applied to a sine wave.
The results can be surprisingly varied. By adjusting the probabilities of the delay time and randomization interval, the resulting timbre can shift from a subtle organic textures to chaotic feedback bursts.
