Hardware and analog synthesizers are still very much relevant in the digital era, and that there is much more to it than just the authentic analog sound. Limitations influencing the creative process, hands-on workflow, unmatched resolution of analog control, esthetics and the physicality of the instrument...

But most importantly, analog circuits are a bridge between the physical and the virtual, the real and the imaginary — a common language that connects sound, vibration, light, movement and force — an interface of artistic expression.

I have been building my own hardware synthesizers and musical controllers for a while now. My process is based on functional prototypes, that develop through use, embracing experimentation and change. Builds often start on a breadboard and evolve through iterative refinement in real-world scenarios. This approach keeps circuits adaptable, allowing them to grow before becoming finalized modules or standalone devices.
